Some people have a problem with their knees. It's not an issue of the knee joint but with the fat that hangs over the knee. You might have rather slim looking legs but might still have a bit of fat around the knees that you are uncomfortable with. Find out what you can do that will help you get rid of fat around the knees.
The knee itself really doesn't store any fat. It's just a joint. There is some fat on the thighs that will hang down on and over the knees when you are standing up which makes your knees look this way. The area that is really the problem is your thighs.
How do you get rid of this type of fat?
It's hard to exercise the knees as it's not a muscle but just a joint. With no muscle here, it's tough to burn fat. While this might not sound like exciting news, there is still plenty that you can do.
Start will an overall exercise program that is designed to burn fat off the body. Your body is going to burn off fat where it sees fit and not where you might want it to first. To get rid of fat around the knees, just start burning fat.
Exercise the thigh and leg muscles. Cardio does help but some resistance training is even better. Stronger thighs will hold the fat on better meaning less of an appearance of fat around the knees.
Eat a healthier diet. It's hard to burn fat through exercise if your diet is causing you to continue to gain more weight. Don't make this process too complicated. Start cutting out things that you know you shouldn't eat while adding in foods that are good for you.
